A Victory offered for the 2011 Bar examinees
Here’s to the 2011 bar examinees, especially those from my alma mater! Congratulations for getting through these past four weeks, after the years of law school struggles. May you pass this final hurdle and contribute to reforming the Philippine legal system, and be truly worthy of being called Lawyers in the Grand Manner. This post is a toast to you all. Hopefully, I’ll be joining you in a year. Cheers!
The Victory Golden Monkey is a Belgian-style tripel, brewed in the tradition of the legendary Trappist monks, and described on the label as a magical, mystical monkey whose golden soul glows with the wisdom of the ages – which hopefully was imparted on the bar examinees this year. It’s a beautiful, effervescent beer that really glows golden. It’s quite dry for a tripel, which is not a bad thing. Also, it’s very easy to drink with its medium body, subtle alcohol, strong carbonation and malt finish. I’d actually categorize this more as a Belgian-style blond ale rather than a tripel, but nonetheless, this is a solid offering from Victory, and apt for toasting those who just took the bar exam. Good luck to you all! This brew’s for you!
