Although in many cases a vertical refresh rate of 60 Hz is also sufficient for an LCD monitor to prevent visual fatigue, there are LCD monitors available that also reach 75 Hz and beyond and are clearly preferable.
Other features to consider when choosing are the presence of a digital input dvi beyond the traditional vga and a possible supply of additional programs for optimal management of the monitor.
Commendable is the very low consumption of electricity by this type of monitor which, hovering around 30 watts, is much lower than a CRT monitor (about 70% lower).
