Itinerary on foot

It was not the first time that I went to Paris, but in my opinion it is a very beautiful and welcoming city where you always return willingly.

I will tell you about the tour I did in the Parisian metropolis, which is then a classic method followed by many other tourists.

The Bois de Boulogne is one of the major city parks where I found it pleasant to stroll between its lakes and the racecourse, and I was also able to visit the famous museum of art and popular traditions of Paris and France in general.

I walked the Boulevards, the large tree-lined avenues that cross Paris and I came to Campo di Marte, in French Champ de Mars, which is a grandiose garden that has as its background the facade of the Ecole Militaire and the Eiffel Tower, 304 meters high and symbol of Paris, built by Gustave Eiffel to celebrate the progress of the technique.

I was also fascinated by the Champs Elysees avenue of the Champs Elysees, full of elegant shops and from where you can see, at both ends, the triumphal arch and the large arch built in the Defense district.

Under the arch of triumph a torch burns continuously on the grave in memory of the unknown soldier. In Piazza della Concordia there is a giant Egyptian obelisk decorated with hieroglyphics which praise the reign of Pharaoh Ramses III.

Despite not having children with me, I also wanted to make a trip to Disneyland Paris, a park and fun place for families that has become famous all over the world, where there are many clubs and attractions in theme with Disney characters including restaurants, shops, bars, cinemas, street artists and live concerts.

But the real heart of Paris that I appreciated most was the Ilè de la Citè, located in the middle of the Seine river that runs through Paris.

On this island I liked Notre Dame, the Paris Cathedral, the Holy Chapel with beautiful stained glass windows, the Palace of Justice and the Conciergerie.

I also visited the Montmartre district, located in the north of Paris, with the characteristic streets where many artists, especially painters, operate outdoors and where the Basilica of the Sacred Heart is located, open continuously 24 hours a day with permanent exposure of the Blessed Sacrament .

One evening I also made a tour of the Moulin Rouge, another typical Parisian place located in the red light district, to see a dance show offered by the hotel where I was staying.

Other interesting visits were the one at the Pompidou Center where I admired the collections present in the museum of modern art and of course the Louvre museum, where I spent almost the entire last available day of my vacation in Paris.

At the Louvre I saw the works of Sandro Botticelli, François Boucher, Agnolo Bronzino, Annibale Carracci, Caravaggio, Correggio, Paul Cézanne, Jacques-Louis David, Edgar Degas, Eugène Delacroix, Leonardo, Marco Palmezzano, Raffaello, Rembrandt, Pieter Paul Rubens, Jan Vermeer and many others for a truly unique full of art.
