The church of Maria Santissima del Rifugio, dating from the eighteenth century and located in the historic center, was built in the same place where a chapel once stood, interesting to see is the carved and gilded wooden choir, dating from the eighteenth century, placed inside.

What see

Very interesting in the surroundings of Acquappesa is the Grotta di Pietro, located in the area of the Bosco della Mortilla, under the Devil's Rock, in whose bowels, according to popular legend, once lived a man called Pietro, a sort of sorcerer capable of frightening the inhabitants of the area.

The Terme Luigiane, a hamlet of Acquappesa located at the foot of the Devil's Rock, is a historic and renowned spa, where the famous sulphurous-iodine waters flow.

Acquappesa is also known for being an appreciated seaside resort, thanks to the clean sea with a mixed seabed, partly rocky and partly sandy.

Near the shore is the Scoglio della Regina, which can be reached by walking on foot without getting your legs wet, using a convenient connection set up from the beach.

Acquappesa also attracts many scuba diving enthusiasts, who can admire many species of fish during their water sports activity.
