Classic recipe to prepare an original fish appetizer with capers and olives to be served in cups obtained from the division of the 2 grapefruits inserted between the ingredients.


Ingredients for 4 portions

- half a stick of celery

- 1 cup of mayonnaise


- 1 handful of capers

- a sprig of chopped parsley

- half raw fennel cut into slices


- 1 tablespoon of olive oil

- 2 pink grapefruits

- 50 gr. of pitted green olives


- 200 gr. fish (hake or peanut)

- half onion

Preparation of fish appetizer in grapefruit cup

Cut the 2 grapefruits in half horizontally to form four cups.

The pulp obtained divide it into many cubes.

Boil the fish by cooking it in water with onion, carrot and celery, for about 15 minutes.

Then let the fish cool down and then cut it into small pieces.

Put the mayonnaise in a bowl and add the diced grapefruit pulp, the fish into small pieces, the raw sliced ​​fennel, the capers, the chopped parsley, oil, salt and pepper.


Mix all the ingredients and, with this rather creamy mixture, fill the grapefruit cups decorating them with green olives. Before serving, keep them in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
