How to make broad beans with spring onions in a pan, necessary ingredients and preparation process with cooking times.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 1 kg of green beans
- 2 spring onions
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- salt
- ground pepper
How broad beans are prepared with spring onions
Remove the roots and the hardest green part from the onions, then divide them in half lengthwise, then wash them well and dry them with a clean cloth before cutting them into slices. Wash the parsley and, once dried, mince it minutely.
After doing this, shell the beans and wash them too. Put the onions to dry in a pan with the oil put on the fire, then add the beans making them flavor, with the container covered, for 4 minutes, making a rumata every now and then using a wooden spoon.
At this point, pour half a liter of water into the pan, together with a pinch of salt and a pinch of ground pepper, continuing to cook over medium heat for a further 20 minutes.
Once cooked, add the chopped parsley, then pour the beans with spring onions, together with all the cooking liquid, into a tray and serve still hot on the table.
