How to prepare Caprese salad following the original recipe which includes, among the ingredients, mozzarella and fresh tomatoes, excellent if accompanied with homemade bread.
Ingredients for 4 people
- 1 fresh mozzarella of 200 g
- 4 salad tomatoes
- 1 sprig of basil
- 1 clove of garlic
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper
Caprese salad preparation
Wash and cut the tomatoes into small pieces, salt them lightly and put them in a colander for a few minutes in order to make them lose the vegetation water.
Meanwhile, cut the mozzarella into slices.
With a peeled clove of garlic, rub the inside walls of a salad bowl, then add the mozzarella, tomatoes and basil leaves, washed and chopped.
Season everything with oil and a little pepper.
