post-title

Meaning of dandelion, what is dandelion, when formed, life cycle from birth to death of the herbaceous plant with yellow flowers.

Definition of dandelion

The dandelion is a herbaceous plant characterized by yellow flowers, also known as dandelion, very common in the meadows, which produces in summer that kind of feathery sphere on which each of us has probably blown at least once in a lifetime.

Its seeds, carried by the wind, after having spent the winter in the ground, give rise in spring to seedlings with leaves arranged like those of a small rose, among which are the first buds of the flowers.

In the summer the dandelion reaches full bloom, from its flowers come particular fruits full of seeds.

With the arrival of autumn the life cycle of the plant ends, the fruits gradually detach leaving the seeds free which, carried by the wind, will also fall far away from the plant that generated them, to spend the winter in the ground somewhere else and to generate new seedlings again in the following spring, thus ensuring the continuity of the species.

The end of the dandelion plant is therefore to wither and die, ending its life cycle in the period of only one year.
