post-title

What to see in Delaware, travel through the three counties with historical and local information, visit cities and beaches in the first state of the United States of America.

Tourist information

One of the smaller states of the federation of the United States of America, Delaware is located in the northeastern part of the Delmarva Peninsula and has Denver as its capital.

From an administrative point of view, this state is divided into the three counties of New Castle, Kent and Sussex.

Originally, before the exploration of its coast by European navigators in the sixteenth century, the inhabitants of Delaware were composed of Native American groups, in particular the Lenape were present in the north while the Nanticoke in the south.

At first it was colonized in 1631 by the Dutch, later it participated, together with 13 other colonies, in the American revolution which led it to be the first state to sign the Constitution of the United States of America.

Today, as far as the internal economy is concerned, it must be said that the two southern counties are historically predominantly agricultural, while New Castle County is the most industrialized one.

On its territory there are extensive plains intended mainly for agriculture.

The industrial sector is characterized by the presence of some steel and chemical industries as well as by numerous shipyards.

The climate of this state is temperate due to the beneficial effects of the ocean.

Contrary to what one might think, given the small size of the territory from north to south which is about 150 km, in Delaware there are moderate variations in average temperatures, moving longitudinally from Sussex County and New Castle.

What see

Delaware, although a small state, is a pleasant destination to discover as there are pretty towns, a beautiful countryside and long beaches for sea life, including the renowned Cape Henlopen beach.
