Tourist information

Located along the Dalmatian coast, a renowned region of southern Croatia, is Dubrovnik, whose translation into Italian is Ragusa.

For the richness of its artistic and cultural heritage, the old city of Dubrovnik (Ragusa) is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

You can get there very well by car but there are also numerous Dubrovnik ferries that depart from Bari but also from other places, namely Korcula, Mljet, Rijeka, Split, Stari Grad.

The beaches in Dubrovnik and its surroundings are pebbly. If you prefer sand, you can reach Lopud beach, located on the island of the same name, just 40 minutes by boat from Dubrovnik.

What see

The historic center, wrapped in ancient walls, is crossed by a long paved avenue called StradĂșn, where the most representative buildings of the city overlook.

The mighty walls are almost two kilometers long and are all passable on foot.

Despite the earthquakes and wars, this extraordinary defensive system of the past has remained intact, today it is a panoramic place that offers beautiful views, on one side of the old city with its colorful roofs, on the other on the islet of Lokrum and the open sea, characterized by crystal clear waters, ideal for scuba diving.

Near the historic center of Dubrovnik is the Lapad peninsula, a residential and tourist area which surrounded by greenery offers many beaches, large parks and various tourist and sporting facilities.

About 20km from the center of Dubrovnik, it is located on a small peninsula, Cavtat, a lively tourist resort, interesting from a historical and architectural point of view, founded by the Greeks in the 4th century with the name of Epidaurum.
