How to make fish in Mexican sauce, a recipe to be made at home quickly following the easy preparation procedure indicated, including a detailed list of the necessary ingredients, from cooking the fish to preparing the seasoning.


Ingredients for 4 people

- 600 g of fish, sea bass or sea bream of your choice

- 200 gr of boiled, peeled and chopped prawns


- 1 medium onion, finely sliced

- 200 gr diced boiled carrots

- 200 gr diced boiled potatoes


- 200 g boiled green beans cut into small pieces

- 4 tbsp oil

- 2 tablespoons vinegar


- salt and pepper

- 70 g pine nuts

- 2 boiled egg yolks

- a quarter of a liter of liquid cream

Preparation of fish in Mexican sauce

Clean, scale, wash and dry the fish carefully, then grease the pan with oil and arrange the fish and sliced ​​onion on it.

Pour a drizzle of oil on the surface of the fish and put it in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

While the fish is cooking, prepare the sauce, whisk together the pine nuts, the hard-boiled egg yolks, the cream, a little salt and a little freshly ground pepper, in order to obtain a thick sauce.


When the fish is cooked, remove it from the pan and, after letting it cool completely, divide it in half following the direction of the length, gently removing all the bones, then arrange the two parts on a serving plate.

On half the fish, distribute the chopped prawns and half of the pine nut sauce prepared previously. After covering the remaining half of the fish, pour the remaining pine nut sauce over it.

At the end, before serving, season the vegetables with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper in three separate bowls, placing them in a mound on the serving dish around the fish.
