The territory of this region of France borders to the south with that of the Rhone-Alps to the south, west of Burgundy, north-west of the Champagne Ardenne, north of Lorraine and north-east of Alsace and Switzerland.

The Doubs boasts an important architectural heritage that deserves to be discovered by every tourist, starting from Besançon with the famous citadel.

In the Doubs you can also taste numerous gastronomic specialties, including Comté, a type of cheese made with raw milk, and the tasty sausages of Morteau and Montbéliard.


Another destination for those who love nature is the Jura chain, where you can make exciting mountain excursions, also satisfying the palate with the specialties of some refuge.

In the department of Belfort cultural attractions, such as the homonymous city which is the main one, and references to nature consisting of forest expanses, waterways and marshes.

Thanks to its substantial natural heritage, the Jura mountain range and the highland forests, Franche-Comté is an ideal destination for tourists who love beautiful landscapes.

In addition to this there are also noteworthy architectural works and refined local cuisine. The main cities are Besançon, Belfort and Montbéliard.
