Fresh tuna with onions and broad beans as a side dish

How to cook fresh tuna, a recipe with spring flavors very rich in aromas which requires, for its realization, the marinade of tuna and the combination with a side dish of beans and onions.


Ingredients for 4 people

- 1 fillet of fresh tuna weighing about 400 g

- 4/5 spoons of extra virgin olive oil


- 1 clove of garlic

- thyme

- rosemary


- chives

- black peppercorns

For the side dish


- 250 g of beans

- 5 onions

How to prepare fresh tuna with onions and broad beans

Prepare the marinade for the tuna, chopping the chives, thyme, rosemary and garlic, then put them in a container with the peppercorns and the oil.

Place the tuna in the marinade and keep it for two hours in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap.

Cut the onions into slices, put them in a pan with a little oil and cook them slowly adding water if necessary.

Shell the beans and sauté them in a pan with the oil, a crushed clove of garlic, salt and pepper.


Turn the tuna in all marinades and cook in a pan 30 seconds per side.

In a tray make a layer with the spring onions and lay the sliced ​​tuna on top surrounded by the sautéed broad beans.
