Guide to prepare apricot jam with ripe and healthy fruits, in order to obtain an excellent jam to spread on bread with butter or biscuits.
- 5 kg of apricots
- kg. 1,500 sugar
- 1 lemon
Apricot jam preparation
Quickly wash the apricots, drain them and remove the core.
Cut the apricots into small pieces and put them in the cooking pot.
Add the lemon juice and a pinch of grated zest.
Place the pan on the stove and boil, slowly and frothing, for a few minutes.
Add the sugar and let it boil again by cooking slowly and letting it thicken, stirring often without skimming.
When the jam has thickened, remove it from the heat and pour it immediately into the jars, sealing them tightly.
Store in pantry.
