How to make homemade ketchup, an easy recipe to prepare quickly for a spicy sauce ideal to be combined with many types of dishes.
Ingredients for ketchup sauce
- 1 handful of salt
- paprika
- black and white pepper
- chili pepper
- 10 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 5 kg of ripe tomatoes
- 1 kg of onions
- 400 gr wine vinegar
- 300 gr of flavored vinegar

Preparation of homemade ketchup
Wash and dry the tomatoes, cut them into pieces and put them in a steel pot, together with the thinly sliced onions.
Cook for half an hour, until the tomatoes have lost part of their water, pass through a sieve to hold the skins, throw everything back into the pot.
Add sugar, salt, a tablespoon of paprika, a pot holder of pepper and simmer until a puree.
At this point, combine the vinegar with the spices and balsamic vinegar, put everything back on the heat and mix continuously with a wooden spoon while it continues to boil, continue until the sauce has reached the right consistency.
Finally proceed with bottling, sterilizing in a bain-marie for about half an hour, after storing for storage in a cool and dry place.
