How to vent radiators with valve

post-title

Method that explains how to vent the radiators with valve, restoring the normal distribution of heat inside the elements that make up the radiators, avoiding the need for expensive plumbing interventions.

How to remove air from radiators

Sometimes it may happen that you have to eliminate air bubbles that may have formed inside the radiators, this is a very simple operation to complete, with the only trick to do it with the boiler off for a few hours.

First of all you must find the vent valve present on each radiator, it is generally located at the top on the side.

The vent valve can simply consist of a wheel to turn, a knob to press or a brass tap to turn with a key.

The operation to vent a radiator consists in letting the air escape inside, opening the valve for a few moments until water flows out of it continuously.

Repeat the previous step on each radiator and at the end go to check the system water pressure gauge on the boiler, which must coincide with the red indicator to which the pressure has been fixed for that type of heating system, in general corresponding to 1.2 bar when the boiler is cold, if it is hot it can reach 1.6 at maximum.

If the pressure is lower than the pre-established level, restore it by opening the appropriate water intake tap located under the boiler, observing the pressure indicator going up to the point indicated, at the end close the tap.

If you accidentally introduce a larger quantity of water, you will have to drain it through the drain valve located under the boiler or a tap of any radiator, generally the one closest to the boiler in order to be able to closely monitor the drop in pressure required .
