San Claudio converted to Christianity thanks to his brother Massimo and, following his example, his wife Prepedigna and his sons Alessandro and Cuzia were also converted.

According to what was written in the Roman Martyrology, San Claudio, after getting rid of his wealth by donating it to the poor, began a new phase of his life, operating every day according to the guiding criteria of Christianity, supported by prayer and the good works he did.

During the empire of Diocletian he was subjected to martyrdom.
