Born in Frouzins, a small village not far from Toulouse, in 1570 from a modest family, she died in Pibrac on June 15, 1601, remaining for the whole of her life in poverty, continuing to be a shepherdess.
Due to a severe congenital malformation located in the upper right limb and a very delicate body constitution, she fell ill early with scrofulosis, which caused her great and continuous suffering throughout her life.
Left an orphan of a mother, a few months after birth, the father found a new companion and, in the house where they lived, was isolated, sending her to graze the sheep and frequently forced to sleep in the stable.
However, this very uncomfortable situation was very humbly accepted by Germana and did not prevent her from being charitable towards her peers, also mostly young shepherds and shepherdesses.
His faith was based on what little he had learned, on topics concerning God and Our Lady, attending the parish.
In fact, he never renounced every day to participate in Holy Mass and to recite the Rosary and Angelus.
For this reason it was nicknamed "the bigot" and made fun of by the other inhabitants of the town.
But Germana had no problem with enduring this, pervaded as it was by that Christian attitude of humility that characterized her entire existence.
She died without fanfare on June 15, 1601, afterwards many miracles happened, thanks to her intercession, and devotion for this Saint spread throughout France.
