Marsala-cooked ham in a pan

post-title

How to make marsala ham, braised in a pan with a dry marsala sauce, obtained by combining the cooking base, cornstarch and broth.

Ingredients for 4 people

- 4 slices of cooked ham of about 80 g each

- 60 g of butter

- 1 dl of dry marsala

- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, dissolved in a cup of meat broth -even a nut-

How to prepare marsala ham

Melt the butter in a pan, put the slices of cooked ham in it and leave to braise for seven / eight minutes on each side.

When the slices are turned, sprinkle with half marsala and add the cornstarch dissolved in the cold broth.

Bring to a boil and turn the slices of ham again to flavor them well.

Leave to cook for about twenty minutes on moderate heat, then remove the ham from the pan and
put it on a hot tray.

At this point, add the remaining marsala to the cooking surface of the ham, mix with a wooden spoon and reduce over low heat until a fairly thick sauce is obtained.

After about ten minutes, pass it through a fine strainer and pour it over the slices of ham, then serve on the table.
