San Felice da Cantalice
Born in 1515 in Cantalice, near Rieti, Felice was a farmer up to 30 years of age, later he became a Capuchin friar.
In a short time he was given the assignment of beggars, which he carried out in an exemplary manner for forty years.
Humbly and joyfully, he walked the streets of Rome praying continually and assisting the sick and poor, also inviting children to sing praises to the Lord.
Because of the typical way of greeting everyone he met, he was called Friar in Grace of God.
He was in close friendship with Filippo Neri, while San Carlo Borromeo wished to converse with him.
On May 18, 1587 Felice died in Rome and was made a saint by Pope Clement XI.
