Microwave cheese fondue

How to make cheese fondue in the microwave oven, with emmental, fontina, light beer, corn or rice starch, grappa, parsley, chives, chervil, marjoram, dill seeds, cumin seeds, toast, freshly ground black pepper ground.


Ingredients for 6 people

- 250 g of fontina

- 250 g of emmental


- 1/4 of a liter of light beer

- 25 g of corn or rice starch

- 3 tablespoons of grappa


- 20 g of parsley

- 1 pinch of marjoram

- 1 pinch of chives


- 1 pinch of chervil

- 1 pinch of cumin seeds

How to prepare the cheese fondue in the microwave oven

Cut the fontina cheese into small pieces and grate the emmental.

Crush the dill and cumin seeds until powdered.

Wash the parsley, marjoram, chives and chervil, drain and chop them.

In a container with high edges put the fontina, the emmental and the beer.


Stir and put the container in the programmed oven at maximum power.

Cook for six minutes, stirring the sauce at least two or three times.

After adding the chopped herbs, the dill and the cumin powder, the starch, the grappa and a pinch of pepper to the cheeses, then mix everything well.

Continue cooking, always at maximum power, for three minutes.

After leaving the sauce in the oven off for about a minute, then mix it well.

The sauce should be served on the table in the cooking container placed above a lit stove, so the guests can dip the toasted bread into the sauce with the forks, kept warm.
