Ingredients for 8 people

-1 kilo and a half of large potatoes

-1 kilo and a half of ripe and firm San Marzano tomatoes


-gr. 500 of white onions

-gr. 200 of extra virgin olive oil

- salt, pepper and basil


How to make the Neapolitan wheel

Peel the potatoes and cut them into wedges lengthwise.

Cut the tomatoes in the same way without peeling them and put them to drain in a colander to make them lose their water.

Thinly slice the onions, then put them in an oven dish together with the potatoes, salt, pepper and sprinkle with extra virgin olive oil and basil leaves.


Arrange the tomato wedges very close to each other so as to form a sort of lid, salt slightly and pour the rest of the oil.

Put the baking dish in a preheated oven for an hour, an hour and a half.
