The Saint of November 1 is All Saints, which name day is celebrated and other saints who are celebrated on this date.
All Saints
This festival, also known as All Saints, began to spread in Europe in the period between the eighth and ninth centuries.
We wanted to create a single feast to celebrate all the Saints, who represent the glory of the Church, deeply united with that part of her that is still pilgrim and suffering.
It is a feast of hope with which we want to call men and women to their true vocation which is that of holiness, to be achieved by carrying out those extraordinary works that the strength given by baptism allows those who wish to do it according to the gifts received from God.
Holiness is not at all rare, for this there is a multitude of Saints who populate the sky.
The Saints are those who have deservedly received their reward in heaven, among them are poor in spirit, meek, troubled, just, merciful, pure, peaceful and persecuted because of Jesus.
In the Calendar of Saints the Church reports only the names of those whose life has been officially recognized as exemplary.
But in reality all those who are saved by following the teaching of Jesus become saints.
On November 1, it was instituted as a party of precept by the Frankish king Louis the Pious in 835, with a decree issued at the insistent request of Pope Gregory IV who had requested and obtained the consent of all the bishops.
