The Saint of the 25 November is Saint Catherine of Alexandria, which is celebrated as name day and other saints are celebrated on this date.
Saint Catherine of Alexandria
The young Catherine of Alexandria refused to marry the emperor Massimino Daia because they are pagans.
He then called on fifty philosophers to discuss with her the groundlessness of some dogmas of her Christian faith, to try to convince her, but she got a result that she had not foreseen, namely the conversion to Christianity of the professionals she had sent.
As a consequence of the failure to comply with the agreements made, the emperor decides to have them killed.
He also orders that Caterina be crushed by the pointing wheel machine, but the pointed wheels miraculously bend and come into contact with her fragile body.
As an extreme remedy to make her die, she is then beheaded but milk instead of blood flows from her neck and her body is transported by an angel to Mount Sinai where a monastery dedicated to her will rise.
Saint Catherine of Alexandria is the protector of nurses and nurses.
