Located at an altitude of 1450 meters, a few kilometers from Pietracamela, Prati di Tivo offers hotels of all categories, in addition to six ski lifts, twelve kilometers of downhill ski slopes and four kilometers of cross-country ski tracks.

Through a chair lift it is possible to climb to 2000 meters above sea level to see the statue of the Madonnina del Gran Sasso, made of bronze, continuing on foot to reach the summit of Gran Sasso, taking about an hour's walk, and the Calderone glacier .


From Prati di Livio, surrounded by beech woods, it is possible to see up close the northern wall of the Corno Grande, which is the highest peak of the chain of the continental Apennines.

Ascensions to the Corno Grande and Corno Piccolo are possible following the respective northern and eastern slopes.

Passing through the Valle del Rio Arno, Val Maone and Campo Pericoli, making a long crossing, you can reach Campo Imperatore while, if you pass the Cima Alta saddle, reachable by taking the road that continues left on Piazzale Amorocchi, you reach in the district of the municipality of Isola del Gran Sasso.
