post-title

CommentPsalm 121 is part of the group of fifteen psalms, from 119 to 133, recited in pilgrimages to Jerusalem which included an uphill path and for this reason called ascensions.

Psalm 121 complete

[1] Song of the Ascensions. I look up to the mountains: where will the help come from?

[2] My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

[3] He will not let your foot falter, your guardian will not fall asleep.

[4] The keeper of Israel will not fall asleep, he will not fall asleep.

[5] The Lord is your keeper, the Lord is like a shadow covering you, and he is at your right hand.

[6] By day the sun will not strike you, nor the moon by night.

[7] The Lord will protect you from all evil, he will protect your life.

[8] The Lord will watch over you when you go out and when you come in, now and forever.
