Psalm 6 complete
To the choir master. For stringed instruments. The eighth. Psalm. Di Davide.
Lord, do not punish me in your indignation, do not chastise me in your fury.
Have mercy on me, Lord: I am failing; heal me, Lord: my bones are trembling.
My soul is completely upset, but you, Lord, until when ...?
Turn, Lord, to set me free, save me for your mercy.
Nobody among the dead reminds you. Who in hell sings your praises?
I am exhausted by the long lamentations, every night I mourn my bed with tears, I sprinkle my bed with tears.
My eyes wear out in pain, I grow old among many of my oppressors.
Get away from me all you who do evil, the Lord hears the voice of my tears.
The Lord hears my plea, the Lord welcomes my prayer.Recommended readings
