Outside the well-preserved circle of walls, the archaeological itinerary passes next to over 20 mounds and the ruins of the quadrangular trenches of the Celts.

Various facilities for recreational activities and well-kept parks offer tourists the way to spend a good holiday immersed in a welcoming environment surrounded by woods and vineyards.

What see

Going in the direction of Rothenburg it is advisable to deviate, taking a secondary road, to Aub Burgerroth where, near the Romanesque chapel of Santa Cunegonda of the thirteenth century there is a millenary age lime tree.

The main resort Aub was formerly a shopping center on the route from Nuremberg to Augsburg.

For this reason it is possible to continually come across the testimonies of this great past, which consist of parts of the city walls with their towers, the town hall with the pillory, the Baroque Marian column, the hunting castle of the bishops and the Catholic parish church which is advisable to visit for the presence of capitals carved in late Gothic style and especially for the precious crucifixion of Tilman Riemenschneider.

Going south for about 2 km is Waldmannshofen, a small hamlet of Creglingen, where there is the castle on the water which currently houses a museum dedicated to firefighters.
