San Diego, overlooking the Pacific Ocean in southern California, near the border with Mexico, is the capital of the homonymous county and, by number of inhabitants, is one of the top ten cities in the United States of America.

Gaslamp Quartier is a neighborhood of renovated buildings, dating back to the years around 1870, where there are bars, restaurants, galleries and wrought iron lampposts, which give the neighborhood a particular historical atmosphere.

Embarcadero is the old port of San Diego, a pleasant place characterized by old boats moored in the Maritime Museum.


Balboa Park is a large park where theaters, museums and sports facilities are hosted, as well as an internationally renowned zoo.

In Old Town, the tourist area where the first Spanish civil settlement was built, there is the first house built in San Diego.

Hotel del Coronado, located on the outskirts of Coronado, is a wooden building characterized by a very extravagant architecture.

In the 1950s some scenes of the film "Some like it hot", a cinematographic work with the actress Marilyn Monroe, were shot in this hotel, inaugurated in 1888.

Sea World is a famous marine park where it is possible to attend aquatic shows with animals as protagonists.

La Jolla is a rich residential area, home to the University of San Diego, where Mediterranean-style architecture predominates.

San Diego International Airport is located 5 km from the center.
