Sweet chard pie with rice

Ingredients for 6 people

- 300 gr. about flour (the dough should be soft)

- 100 gr. of butter


- 200 gr. of sugar

- 1 tablespoon of olive oil

- 1 internal and 1 red egg


- a pinch of salt

- 1 level teaspoon of baking powder

For the stuffing


- 100 gr. of bread soaked in milk

- 100 gr. of rice cooked in salted water

- 1 scoop of boiled and chopped chard

- a handful of grated Parmesan

- 2 whole eggs

- 50 gr. of sugar

- cinnamon

- salt and pepper

- a few flakes of butter and a little olive oil for the surface of the cake.


Preparing sweet chard pie with rice

Quickly mix the butter, sugar, oil, one whole egg and one red, a pinch of salt, baking powder and flour.

Roll out the dough in a 30 cm diameter cake tin and to make the beaks let the necessary dough protrude from the edges.

Mix the ingredients of the filling well; bread soaked in milk and squeezed, boiled rice, boiled and chopped chard, grated Parmesan, whole eggs, sugar, salt and pepper.

Spread the filling over the dough, then sprinkle the surface of the cake with flakes of butter, a little olive oil and a pinch of cinnamon.

Make the beaks by folding the protruding dough and bake at 180 degrees for about 50 minutes.
