The word tag is basically a keyword that exactly defines or places within a group or related category a specific multimedia object, for example a photo or video, or an article written on a website.
Originally used by Facebook users to share something with other subscribers, today it is widely used to better define content by correlating it with others that may be useful for the reader.
In Facebook jargon, tagging means certifying that in a photo or a portion of text, there is a user who falls within friends, a link will be created through which the other users, with whom the photo is shared, will have direct access, through it, to the tagged user profile, who can also accept this action or reject the tag even later.
To tag your friends you must type the @ symbol (snail) followed by the name in the text entry field, currently indicated with the wording "what are you thinking about".
Note that as you start typing the name after the scroll, the names suggested among friends appear and this helps to insert the correct one. Once the message is published, the tagged friends will be notified by an automatic notification.
To tag a photo just go to the photo tab, select the album and click on the photo to be tagged, in the case of people it will be possible to enter the name exactly where the face appears.
