How to make duck with orange in the microwave, recipe for a classic preparation to be made in just 45 minutes and to be served with the sauce obtained from the cooking base.


ingredients for 4 people

- 1 young duck, already peeled and cleaned, of about 900 g

- 1 orange rich in juice


- 50 g of butter

- meat extract

- 3 tablespoons of Cointreau


- salt and pepper

Preparation of duck with orange in the microwave

Place a pan to brown in the programmed oven at maximum power for 8 minutes.

Wash the orange, cut it in two and put half of it inside the duck, previously cleaned, washed and dried.


Also put the salted and peppered liver in it, then close the opening of the duck with a stick.

After 8 minutes, place it in the container putting the breast in contact.

Sprinkle the duck with half a dose of the butter cut into small pieces, close the microwave and cook the preparation, at a lower power, for about 20 minutes.

In the meantime, dissolve half a teaspoon of meat extract in 4 tablespoons of boiling water, add the Cointreau liqueur and the juice of the left half orange.

After 20 minutes, wet the duck with the prepared sauce, turn it over and cook for 5 minutes, then turn off the oven and leave it in for another 5 minutes.

When cooked, remove the liver and cut the duck into small pieces, then place them on a tray.

Chop the liver, and together with the remaining butter add it to the cooking bottom of the bowl, mix everything well and pour the sauce over the duck pieces.

Serve immediately on the table.
