How to make the timbale of baked pasta without bechamel, a classic recipe that involves the use of various types of pasta, from fusilli to penne.


Ingredients for 8 people

- 500 gr of pasta, choice of penne, fusilli, macaroni or farfalle

- tomato sauce or ragù


- 2 puff pastry discs ready

- milk or an egg for brushing

- salt


Preparation of the baked pasta timbale

Cook the pasta in boiling salted water, drain it 1 minute before the end of the cooking time, so that it is al dente, transfer it to a bowl and season it well with tomato sauce or ragù.

Line a 20 cm diameter mold with 1 of the two puff pastry disks, using the baking paper included in the package.

Fill with the seasoned pasta, cover with the other puff pastry disc and seal the edges.


Prick the surface with a fork, then brush with the milk or beaten egg.

Put in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 40 minutes, waiting for the surface to take on a nice golden color.
