The summer months are characterized by frequent hurricanes which often have destructive consequences.

British Virgin Islands
The British Virgin Islands belong to the United Kingdom and are part of the Virgin Islands archipelago in the Antilles Sea. They include 40 islands, one third of which are inhabited and their capital is Road Town.
