How to make carp in a pan with onions and paprika, recipe for a simple and tasty dish that is found mainly in traditional Romanian and Hungarian cuisine.


Ingredients for 4 people

- 1 carp of 1 kg

- 1 kg of sliced ​​onions


- 2 dl of water

- 3 tablespoons of paprika

- salt


How to prepare carp with onions and paprika

Wash, scale, clean and slice the carp, removing the head.

Put the sliced ​​onions in a pan with water and salt, cook them until they become tender, then add the paprika and continue cooking for a few minutes, stirring constantly.

Drain the onions, keeping the cooking liquid, then put them back in the pan, bring the boil up and put the pieces of carp in it.


Cover the fish with the cooking liquid and let it boil gently for about 15 minutes.

Remove the pieces of carp and place them in a tray next to each other, then cover them with the onions passed through a sieve mixed with one or two spoons of cooking juices.
