Florida is one of the states belonging to the United States located in the southern part of the nation, with a territory extended largely on an extensive peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean and the homonymous strait, bordering to the north with Georgia and Alabama.
It is not far from the Caribbean area, in particular from the Bahamas and Cuba.
The counties that make up Florida are 67 inhabited by different ethnic groups including refugees from Cuba and the Miccosukee tribe that inhabits the Everglades swamp area.
Agriculture is highly developed and stands out above all for its large citrus cultivation.
There are also phosphate mines especially in the Bone Valley area and a large aerospace industry due to the NASA establishment in 1962 in Cape Canaveral.
Most of the state has a temperate climate, thanks to the positive influence of the gulf stream, with strong and cold winds only in the winter season.
On a religious level, the most common faiths are Catholicism and Judaism.
The entertainment industry for tourism is very developed, which in the city of Orlando attracts a large number of tourists every year.
What see
Here is hosted the DisneyWorld Resort which includes hotels, shops, amusement parks such as Magic Kingdom and Epcot, Universal Studios and the Universal isle of adventure and the Sea world.
Florida's beaches are very popular, especially in Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Panama City.

Florida is very rich in natural parks and protected areas, including the National Forest, National Park, Ocala and State Park.
Among the main cities are Tallahassee, which is the capital of the state as well as being the county seat of Leon County, and Miami, which is the county seat of Miami-Dade county.
Cape Canaveral consists of a strip of land located in Brevard County and in the area are the NASA Ksc and the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station of the United States Army.
The reason for the choice as the seat of the Ksc derives from its particularly favorable position, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and close to the equator, two factors to favor the tests carried out towards the sea by exploiting the greater thrust present near the equatorial circle due to the rotation of the land.
