Meaning trembling dog

The reasons why a dog trembles can be different, for this reason knowing what it depends on becomes very important as, in some cases, it could be a health problem, even if there is normally no need to worry.

In fact, a dog can tremble simply because he is excited by the contentment he feels or by the omen he warns of something that is about to happen that can make him extremely happy.

It can happen, for example, that after a long absence of the owner, the dog feels such a joy in seeing him that he starts to tremble for the simple fact that he has realized that he has not been abandoned.

Particular excitement with consequent tremor can also be caused by an impediment situation, as in the case that at the sight of a cat outside, looking through the window, the dog would like to run after him but cannot do so because he is indoors.

It is not uncommon for dogs that tremble when they are terrified of something, such as a loud noise, a fireworks display or thunder during a thunderstorm.

In other cases it could be simply because of the cold that a dog trembles, in fact some dogs are not used to the cold, especially if they are short-haired.

Tremor problems can also arise during the animal's old age, due to a progressive muscle weakening accompanied by arthritis, factors that often cause difficulty in movement with consequent joint pain in the rear and front legs.

If you are unable to understand the cause of a persistent tremor, it is advisable to have the dog visited by your veterinarian.
