Psalm 68: complete, commentary

post-title

CommentPsalm 68 opens with an invocation to God to make his power prevail over the enemies that attack Israel. The psalmist has total trust in God, who has always overcome his enemies by dispersing them like wax that melts before the fire. He reiterates that those who are righteous emerge victorious against all the pitfalls tended by their opponents, thanks to the joy that is given them by having faith in the Lord. Invite the whole world to praise God, paving the way for the one who rides the clouds triumphantly.
