Quick recipe that explains how to make custard without cream, an indispensable compound for making different types of desserts, for which few ingredients are required.


Ingredients for 4 people

- 3 egg yolks

- 2 tablespoons of flour


- 2 spoons of sugar

- 4 dl of milk

- 1 piece of lemon peel


How to prepare the custard without cream

Work the yolks with the sugar, add the sifted flour and mix.

After boiling the milk with the lemon peel, remove the peel and pour the milk on the prepared mixture, then put it on the fire.

Stir continuously with a wooden spoon and as soon as the cream starts to boil, remove it from the heat, mix it and put it back on the heat.


This operation must be repeated three times. When it is cold, the custard can be combined with slightly sweetened whipped cream, in equal proportions, mixing from the bottom up, in order to obtain the diplomatic cream.
