What see

In the stretch of river that in Portugal runs along the town of Porto, located on the right bank, and Vila Nova de Gaia, located on the left bank, several characteristic boats are moored, called in Portuguese barcos rabelos.

The Barcos rabelos were used for the transport of the famous Port wine on the Douro river, whose factories for storage are largely located right in Vila Nova de Gaia including the famous Sandeman winery.

The design of these boats dates back to a few centuries ago and have the particularity of having barrels on the deck suitable for transporting wine from the production cellars located upstream to the warehouses located in the city.
