Fried potato nests: recipe baskets to be done in the fryer

How to make fried potato nests in the deep fryer equipped with special baskets for potato nests, to be stuffed with peas with butter or, alternatively, with sautéed mushrooms or pan-fried chicken livers.


Ingredients for 4 people

- 4 medium potatoes -400 g approx.

- abundant oil for frying


- salt

Preparation of fried potato nests

Peel the potatoes, wash and dry them.

Cut the potatoes into thin strips and arrange them in the appropriate baskets, pressing them lightly to make them adhere well to the container.


Heat the oil in the fryer and, as soon as it is hot, dip the four baskets until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy evenly.

Remove the baskets from the oil, drain them, open them and remove the potatoes, which will have taken the shape of a nest.

Dust the potatoes with a little salt and serve them immediately on the table, or fill them with a mixture of peas or mushrooms or livers.
