How was the discovery of Neptune and Pluto expected?

post-title

Brief history of the anticipation of the discovery of Neptune and Pluto and prediction of the exact point where they would have been found.

Notice of the discovery of Neptune and Pluto

Two astronomers of different nationalities, namely one British and one French, in 1846 declared the existence of a still unknown planet that interfered in the orbit of the planet Uranus.

Although they did not know each other, they managed to calculate where the new planet would appear in the sky and this was immediately confirmed by another German astronomer who discovered it at the exact point predicted by the other two scholars.

The new planet was named Neptune and irregularities in its orbit also led to the discovery of Pluto in 1930.
