How to cook fried apples in a pan
Peel the apples, each by cutting them into eight wedges, removing cores and seeds.
Put a generously sized pan on the heat and fry the butter before adding the apple wedges, to cook over a high flame for about 2 minutes, until they are uniformly golden brown.
At this point, lower the gas and continue cooking for a further 5 minutes, finally serve still hot as a side dish.
