Potatoes with leeks and pan-fried bacon with cream

How to make potatoes with leeks and bacon, a recipe to be cooked in a pan that involves adding cream in the last phase of cooking.


Ingredients for 4 portions

- 1 onion

- 40 gr. of bacon in a single slice


- 4 spoons of cream

- 700 gr. of potatoes

- 2 leeks


- 30 gr. of butter

- salt

- pepper


How to prepare potatoes with leeks and bacon

Peel the potatoes, wash and cut them into slices, then do the same with the leeks, removing the hardest roots and leaves, before cutting them into slices.

Peel the onion and, after washing it, mince it minutely.

At this point make many strips from the available slice of bacon and put them in a pan with already melted hot butter, combining onion and leeks to make them dry.

After adding the potatoes and pouring a glass of water, add salt and pepper before boiling, continuing cooking for a further 18 minutes.

As soon as all the liquid has evaporated, add the cream making it cook over medium heat for the time necessary to absorb it from the potatoes.

Finally, remove the pan from the heat and serve the Norman potatoes while still hot.
