Roast leg of lamb with potatoes


How to cook the roast leg of lamb with potatoes, recipe with mint and rosemary flavor, with the preparation process including the cooking times in the oven.

- 400 gr frozen or fresh new potatoes

- extra virgin olive oil

- 1 vegetable or meat nut

- 1 leg of lamb weighing about 1 kg

- 1 clove of garlic

- 1 sprig of rosemary

- some mint leaves

- salt and pepper

Preparation of the roast leg of lamb with potatoes

Start by finely chopping the garlic clove together with the rosemary and mint leaves.

Using a small but well sharpened knife, make a few small incisions in the meat and fill them with the chopped herbs.

If fresh potatoes are used, peel them leaving them whole.

After 30 minutes add the potatoes, adjusting the salt and pepper, after checking at regular intervals that the cooking primer does not dry out too much, if necessary add a drop of water.

After cooking, remove the meat from the oven and cut it into slices, then degrease the cooking base by removing the surface oil.

Serve the lamb with potatoes on a serving plate, after having distributed the cooking sauce on the slices.
