How to make a cake with icing, recipe with dark chocolate dough and eggs as a filling, to be baked in the oven and served cold.
Ingredients for 6 portions
- 150 gr. of potato starch
- 150 gr. made with flour
- 150 gr. of butter
- 200 gr. of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of grated lime zest
- 4 eggs
- 1 sachet of baking powder
For the ripeno
- 2 spoons of sugar
- 4 egg yolks

- 2 glasses of milk
- 100 gr. of dark chocolate
- 2 tablespoons of flour
For the glaze
- 50 gr. of dark chocolate
- 200 gr. icing sugar
Cake preparation with white chocolate glaze
Work the butter until it is creamy and add the sugar. Add the grated lemon zest and egg yolks, then the starch and flour together with the yeast.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and add them to the mixture. Butter a 23 cm mold. in diameter, pour the dough into it and bake at 180 ° c for 45-50 minutes. Allow the cake to cool, then cut it in half.
Stuffed
Heat the milk in a saucepan and melt the chocolate, then add the flour and sugar, stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Remove the mixture from the heat, add the egg yolks and let it cool, before filling the inside of the cake.
Icing
Melt the dark chocolate in a pan and 100 gr. icing sugar with 5 tablespoons of water. Once boiled, remove the pan from the heat and stir until a smooth and creamy mixture is obtained. Glaze the cake with this sauce.
White glaze
Pour 1 spoonful of boiling water into a bowl, then add the 100 gr. remaining icing sugar and beat for a few minutes, so as to obtain a thick and creamy glaze.
Prepare a small funnel of greaseproof paper and pour the icing over it to make it drizzle in order to decorate the cake as you wish. When the white icing has thickened put the cake in a tray and serve it.
