San Bernardo da Corleone
Born in Corleone on February 6, 1605 and died in Palermo on January 12, 1667, Bernardo da Corleone, aka Filippo Latino, was an Italian religious.
Member of the Franciscan city and tertiary militia, he devoted himself to works of mercy for the poor, the sick and the oppressed.
He later asked to be admitted among the Capuchin Minors, immediately distinguishing himself for his commitment and religious fervor.
Very observant of regular life, he was concerned solely with conforming himself ever more to Christ Crucified with a life of fervent charity and austere penance.
He died in Palermo in 1667 and was beatified by Clement XII on May 15, 1768.
