Psalm 36: complete, commentary

post-title

CommentPsalm 36 begins by talking about the darkness present in the heart of the wicked and this immediately triggers a profound reflection to understand how men sometimes act. Those who are righteous can find the strength to resist the wicked only by taking refuge in God who looks at the heart of the man who created free and at the same time gave him the gift of being oriented to him, considering the benefits and graces granted.

Psalm 36 complete

[1] To the choir master. David's servant of the Lord.

[2] Sin speaks in the heart of the wicked, in front of his eyes there is no fear of God.

[3] For he deludes himself into seeking his guilt and detesting it.

[4] His words are unfair and fallacious, he refuses to understand, to do good.

[5] Iniquity weaves on his bed, he insists on bad ways, he does not reject evil by himself.

[6] Lord, your grace is in heaven, your faithfulness to the clouds;

[7] your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your judgment like the great abyss: men and beasts you save, Lord.

[8] How precious is your grace, O God! Men take refuge in the shadow of your wings,

[9] they are satisfied with the abundance of your home and quench your thirst at the torrent of your delights.

[10] The source of life is in you, in your light we see the light.
