Comment – Psalm 84 is nothing more than a celebration of the pilgrimage to the temple in Jerusalem, with particular reference to the first rain that coincides with the autumn festival of the Huts, a period in which, after the summer dryness, the vegetation in the areas resumed desert.

[2] How lovable your dwellings are, Lord of hosts!
[3] My soul languishes and craves the atria of the Lord. My heart and my flesh rejoice in the living God.
[4] The sparrow also finds the house, the swallow the nest, where to place his little ones, near your altars, Lord of hosts, my king and my God.
[5] Blessed are those who live in your home: always sing your praises!
[6] Blessed is he who finds his strength in you and decides the holy journey in his heart.
[7] Passing through the valley of tears, it changes it into a spring, even the first rain cloaks it with blessings.
[8] His vigor grows along the way, until he appears before God in Zion.
[9] Lord, God of hosts, listen to my prayer, put your ear, God of Jacob.
[10] See, God, our shield, look at the face of your consecrated person.
