Spaghetti carbonara: original recipe

Among the most popular typical dishes of Italian cuisine, spaghetti carbonara prepared according to the original recipe include bacon and eggs.


Ingredients for 4 people

- 50 g of bacon

- 1 clove of garlic


- 2 tablespoons of butter

- 400 g of spaghetti

- 40 g of parmesan


- 40 g of pecorino

- 3 eggs

- salt and pepper

About 20 minutes, to which add the cooking time of the pasta

Preparation

1) Cut the bacon into small pieces, then peel the garlic and finely chop it.

2) After putting the butter in a hot pan, brown the bacon.

3) After this add the garlic and fry for 3 minutes.

4) Proceed with the cooking of spaghetti in boiling salted water, respecting the cooking time indicated on the package, then drain them leaving them to drain.

5) Now pour the pasta into the pan together with the bacon and mix everything well.

6) After grating the Parmesan cheese and the pecorino cheese, beat the eggs with half the cheese and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

7) Pour the sauce obtained on the spaghetti, taking care to mix everything until the eggs begin to thicken.

8) Finally sprinkle the spaghetti with the rest of the cheese and serve immediately.
